texbrad
I filed for Bk in December 2001. Due to some highly unusual circumstances in Jan and Feb, we allowed the Bk to be dismissed, not discharged. This shows on all 3 reports as Dismissed. Most of the CC's show discharged in Bk with some open lines, showing updated charge-offs , some from 2002, some just last month. I have disputed online the BK, CO's etc. basically, what wil be my nest step? I disputed as Not mine, althought the public records is probably easily verifiable. The amounts shown are all $0. I am trying to get these CXo's and possibly the Bk off, as I have a 581 Fico and 618 Experian, I do not want to trash this anymore. You guys are great, I wish I would have found you long ago! thanks, Brad
planner
From what I have read, never dispute online (you're make their job a little easier & limited paper trail) mail CRRR. Also, hand write your disputes, it adds confusion and keeps the CRA from thinking you hired a Credit Repair company.
admin
Also, be sure and request your consumer information files from the following companies: dolaninformation.com and Choice Point. They are some of the third party repositories for public records. If you can successfully dispute (and remove) from these guys, you will have much better success with your disputes to the *big* 3. Ravenous Wolf
You don't have to hand write your letters to the CRAs or to anyone else.Lots of credit repair web sites suggest to hand write so that you will be taken seriously.I have a degree in accounting and I have worked for some really big corporations as well as some small outfits. I have been employed in numerous different industries like a law office, doctor's office, investment firm, engineering and aerospace, manufacturers, defense contractors (navy and army), mortgage bankers, commercial banks, etc. All those outfits will take you seriously if you type out your letter. In fact, my sister has taught business technology on the high school level for almost 20 years. There are actually rules and format to adhere to when writing out business letters. If don't follow those rules, you will definitely look unprofessional.Yeah, you might get someone to look at a handwritten letter but they are like, "hey everyone, look at what Ma and Pa Kettle wrote us".And the way to solve the "credit repair clinic" letter is to include this notation at the bottom of EVERY letter you mail out to the CRAs. I have sent out over 100 letters to each CRA within a 12 month time frame. The moment I included the following notation at the bottom of every letter, I stopped getting those credit repair clinic letters.--------Note: I alone wrote this formal complaint in its entirety. I had no assistance from any third party such as a credit repair clinic; therefore you are obligated under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) to fully investigate this consumer dispute. planner2
To each his own.I have had more luck with hand written request than computer (cut & paste) draft letters. What does the 50 cent hour employee in India do when they can't understand your letter? They delete or verfiy incorrect data.
