gomanngo
Okay, I send off my dispute letter.1. It has three (utility) collections, I request that they be removed as they are for an address I have never lived at.2. One BK, which I never went through with. I stated some verbiage that I found on this site saying it needed to be removed because the law only allows BK to be reported a certain amount time after discharge ... I never went through with it and therefore there is no discharge date, blah, blah, blah.3. One Unpaid Judgment: I provided proof that the judgment was paid, but I am unable to locate creditor and have them file the necessary paperwork and therefore a satisfaction of judgment cannot be filed (I now live two states away). The response I get back from TU is explanations as to how long they report each item. I specifically asked for an investigation and removal and they give me explanations. What do I do now?
admin
Hmmmm- I might have done things a tad differently. 1. It has three (utility) collections, I request that they be removed as they are for an address I have never lived at.First do "Not mine". No more details are necessary.2. One BK, which I never went through with. I stated some verbiage that I found on this site saying it needed to be removed because the law only allows BK to be reported a certain amount time after discharge ... I never went through with it and therefore there is no discharge date, blah, blah, blah.Again, say "not mine". You might also want to pull your credit report from dolaninformation.com who is sometimes a third-party repository for public records that the CRAs pull, and clean this up first. Don't EVER admit in writing to the BK.3. One Unpaid Judgment: I provided proof that the judgment was paid, but I am unable to locate creditor and have them file the necessary paperwork and therefore a satisfaction of judgment cannot be filed (I now live two states away).Oops, you just admitted to this judgment, and just because it's paid doesn't take it off of your report. I might just go ahead and dispute it as satified anyway. The response I get back from TU is explanations as to how long they report each item. I specifically asked for an investigation and removal and they give me explanations.Ignore this from them. It is a standard response. The next thing for you to do is to wait it out and see what happens. Then report back to us.
gomanngo
Thank you, thank you.Just so you know, I had previously disputed all of the items I mentioned as not mine. I got eight deletions, but these remained.Dolaninformation? Can you help with more info?
admin
Go to dolaninformation.com and look for the consumer section. It gives advice on how to pull your credit report. You can dispute with them just like you would the other 3 bureaus. You'll have a better chance getting them off with these guys, and then when you dispute again with TU, and TU goes to dolaninformation, *poof* no information, so you get a deletion.
