My questions is when should I consider applying for a new credit card? Here is my current credit standings: I have a 15 month old Bank One credit card with a 1000 limit. I have a AU account with AMEX Blue with a 6700 limit(opened 8/2003). Right now I have a 1800 balance on the AMEX Blue but when they report in December it will show as payed off. The Bank One card with show the same(right now is has a $25 balance :)). My credit score with experien is 711 with these stats showing. My equifax and TU are close to that. On Experien I have 15 inquires and equifax i have about 7-10 and TU 15+. When would I be able to apply for a new credit card and not risk being denied? I dont want to apply and get denied and have ANOTHER Inquiry on my reports. Id like to get a Chase, Discover, or AMEX. Please any input would be great!

ok Thanks Ill try and apply for Discover after my debt shows on my reports as none. I just checked with Orchard and they said Id be best geting there Classic Plus card. What kind of card is that? Is it one of Orchards good cards? Also with a 760(which Ill have by the middle of december) could I be approved for a Discover,AMEX Blue, or Chase card. Even though I have a few inquiries?

Well I just applied for the Discover card and the Union Plus card! I was approved for a 1700 limit with the Union Plus card and was given a "Application needs further Viewing" with the Discover card. I hope the Union Plus card doesnt have a OUTRAGIOUS RATE! Anybody that has a Union Plus card, are they all grey or are there different designs for each Union? Well this is a step forward! I hope I am not denied for the Discover card that'd be GREAT if they approved me for that card!
