tydaddy
I CANNOT seem to get through these damn idiotic customer service reps!!! I sent a copy of a Universal Data Form that a collection agency sent me to both Experian and TU that requested deletion of my file from my reports. Both cb's are refusing to use the document I sent as proof of deletion. They are both also saying that they are disputing and it will take 30 days to investigate. I am trying to process a home loan and am not waiting the 30 days. I called the CA and confirmed TWICE that the Universal Data Form was sent on 11-28-03. EX told me once they received fax from CA that it would be deleted within 24-72 hours. They will not verify with me that they have received fax from CA. They just keep telling me that my documents are insufficient. I have a fax cover sheet on the CA letterhead as well as the form with a signature and the (*&$($#*&($($#& bureau is telling me that they need a letter on the CA letterhead with a signature confirming deletion. It's the SAME DAMN THING!!!!Someone please help!!! I have been on and off the phone with them for the past 5 hours trying to get this thing expedited. I swear I'm on the verge of getting on a plane and flying down there if I don't get SOMEONE in that place that can help me!!!!! Has anyone used these forms in the past or what else do I need to do to get this thing deleted AS SOON AS POSSIBLE??????Sorry for the tangent - I'm just so unbelievably frustrated after wasting the entire day on this freakin issue. THank you for your help!
BKSinAZ
Theres got to be a logical explaination why Experian wont accept the letter. Did you ask them why? Is the letter on a professional letterhead paper?Another thought...Who ever sent you the letter to show the CRA should be able to have that TL deleted with no problems by just calling. It is actually their responsibility.
tydaddy
They tell me that they can only accept the forms from the creditors themselves. When I ask them to confirm that the CA sent it - they just keep telling me that they cannot use the docs I sent and that it is under investigation and it will be 30 days until updated. I must have called 4 times today explaining the situation over and over. THe last rep I spoke to at EX tried telling me the same thing and would NOT transfer me to another department. I finally lost it and told him to put me through to a supervisor and when he did I went STRAIGHT into a voicemail for a supervisor that was ON VACATION until the end of the week. I just about lost it at that point and that's when I sent this post.I tried a contact number that was posted on this site for Credit Bureau contacts and actually reached an operator that was NICE! She was in CA and told me that she would connect me to a department in Texas tomorrow (they were closed at the time). She gave me her name and told me to call her back tomorrow before 3:00 pm and she would make sure I got connected to someone tomorrow to help me. THANK GOD! There is humanity in EXPERIAN!I'm not sure why they will not accept the form I sent. I'll have to follow up with someone who can explain that to me tomorrow. I actually spoke to TU later today and got connected to a HUMAN REP that gave me his fax # and told me to send the info to him and he would take care of it. He seemed perplexed as to why they would not use the document himself so he just told me to fax it and send it to his and his supervisor's attention and he would look into it. Hopefully I can have such luck with EX tomorrow. We'll see.....
BKSinAZ
Dont worry about the home loan. We just closed and all we did is show the bank and morgatage company all our letters from collection agencies. They tell me that they can only accept the forms from the creditors themselves.
