FDCPA & FCRA: 1K per violation or per action??

I do per violation on my suits. It's always seemed to work so far.

Not sure what you mean but if I'm correct, your suits have been under the FCRA and not FDCPA. In the case of an FDCPA suit, it's per action, not violation.

Thanks for the clarification. Does this mean that FCRA is per violation?

You would have to check your State's laws. Some limit as to how many you can file in a certain period of time. I think someone said that in California, you can only file 2 within a year against the same party. I have no proof, but, somewhere in the past it was brought up and I think that is what was said. So, be safe and check before filing.
