Spydc
I just received my GM and Union Plus cards. I want to add my girlfriend as an authorized user to help her credit situation. She has virtually no credit. However, when I click the "Add authorized User" feature on my respective household credit cards website, they only ask for the person's name. They don't ask for SS# nor Address... so how are they supposed to accurately report to the CRA's with just a name. I'm sure she isn't the only one with that name. DocDon
Not all creditors' AU programs report to the CRA's. You can call them to find out. Make sure they don't try to make this a joint account. If the person you talk to doesn't understand the difference (ie: try to run her credit when you give the SSN), hang up and try someone else.
