PayCutHurtMe
I have a utility bill that either fell through the cracks when we moved, or the bill just never got to us. It ended up going to NCO. It's only 84 bucks and I'd like to pay it. Is there any maneuvering I can do to get NCO to send it back to the OC? cabledude
Is this on your credit report as a collection? If so I would only pay them if they remove it. If they did not report to the CRA's and there is no negative information hurting your scores, just pay it to make it right. However, call the OC first to see if they will accept payment. If so pay them directly. Why put money in a CA's pocket.
PayCutHurtMe
It's on all three. Maybe I should DV them, then dispute with CRA's. If one of them screws up, it might give me some leverage.
cabledude
That really burns me when they stick it to your files for less than 100 bucks. I got a nasty one for $60. I would definetly DV them and only pay if they remove. Give them the misunderstanding with the bills when you moved story. Maybe they'll bite? Also look at the last time reported to the CRA's. If it is not recent then definetly dispute. If it is recent it may end up getting verified, but it's worth a shot.
