Sandy67
DH has a couple of collections from 98 that are all tied to a previous address. He tried to call TU to dispute address as never his and they said he had to contact Fraud dept. Is this a normal response and should he bother? What will fraud dept. do or say? (Scared of the unknown) How can you prove you never lived in a certain state?
pjwife27
You know what, I wouldn't even go that route just yet. Go onto their website and you can dispute w/out a credit report number. Just type in your new address and say you weren't at the old one or no longer live there and they'll probably delete it. I did that and they didn't ask me for more infor or anything. c m chase
Yeah, you must have just ran into an oddball rep. Call them back or do as pjwife suggested and dispute online just say "never lived there" - they normally won't ask for any explanation.
