no signatures on cc

i'm just curious..how can a ca validate original contract signature if a credit card is sent unsolicited to the consumer, then activated by phone, and the only charges on the card are balance transfers by phone.

there must be some way to track debtor agreeing to pay.

I'm sure there's something written in small print somewhere in the cardholder agreement you received with the card that addresses that issue. CC companies pay their legal consul large sums of money to cover all the bases, which is why that agreement is usually 10 pages long.
