Question for the Mortgage Brokers

Hello,

I have a question for the mortgage brokers on this board. I have recently been working with a local mortgage broker and I am beginning to lose faith in her. Here is my wife and I's background information. My wife was discharged from a Chapter 7 BK 1 year ago and I was discharged from a Chapter 7 BK 5 months ago. In both of our BK's we included each of our homes. (We are newlyweds and had homes with our ex's prior to us getting together.) The mortgage broker I have been working with said that there is no way for us to get a loan such as FHA, VA or Fannie Mae because they require atleast 2 years after the BK to be elidgable. She did mention that we possibly could qualify for a, "alternative," loan with no money down. My questions are: What exactly could she mean when she says, "alternative loan with no money down?" Also, do any of the mortgage brokers on this board have any loan programs that may fit our situation? We are willing to go with anyone at this point.

Thanks,

Josh

Duplicate post.

There's no reason to post the same question in 2 different forums. It causes too much confusion bouncing between the two of them. Your question will be answered - our mortgage experts are very good in that department.

Try First Franklin Bank, they do loans for people with BK's, that have reastabilished there credit. What state do you live in? Find a broker who is approved to do loans with this lender. Or just simply call them. I don't have the number off hand but, the 800 number will help.
