missdivantx
I have 3 collections in dispute right now and I'm wondering if I should send out my validation letters now or wait until the dispute process is over with bureaus?
sigep611
I think you should have sent the dv letter before disputing with the CRA. IMHO I would go ahead and send them CMRRR as soon as possible.

Recovering Attorney
i agree. DV the agencies. You DV a collection agency to validate the debt itself. You dispute with the CRAs to dispute the accuracy of the information reported to the CRA. The DV attacks the debt ad debt practices associated with it. The Dispute mechanism attacks your credit report.
