Can I change my mind later?

Just a hypothetical here...

Let's say you settle a debt with a CA, everything is actually reported the CRA they way it should be (truly a miracle.) Then you come into money a few months later. Can you call them back and say, "Hey, guys remember me? I want to pay the remaining balance, can you change me to paid in full now?"

Well, a collection, paid or not, is ALWAYS derogatory so paid in full does nothing for you. To answer your question, sure you can change your mind and if it is paid it should be stated as such, but this is not a smart way to repair your credit.
