Reada
I signed up for the College Network to obtain my bachelors degree. I decided I could not afford to take the classes and called the network to cancel my contract. I refused the books when they came to the post office so I do not have anything from them. On the back of the contract it said I had 3 days to cancel the contract. I was told I had 90 days to cancel. I tried to cancel after 30 days but the lady I spoke with at the network told me too bad I owe the whole amount. Do I have a legal case or do I have to pay the full $6000.00 even though I will not be attending the program?
Recovering Attorney
depends what your contract says. Make sure you have correspondence to/from them backing up your claim and take them to court. Don't wait. For 6K, I'd get a lawyer. Call the BBB and FTC, as well as the AG in your state and the state of they are in.
