Yemaya7
I just joined PG 2 days ago. Does it affect your score to pull your report everyday?
katwoman
Not at all. These are soft inq's only.Just be careful you don't get a split file as a result of all the pulling. And don't get too hung up on the scores either. Think of them as just a relative gauge and you'll be O.K.
tryingtogetbackontrack
What is a split file and the negatives of it and how do you get one and how do you avoid it? Thanks so much!

katwoman
There seems to be a finite amount of information that a consumer file can hold. This varies from CRA to CRA. Some folks have pulled and pulled their reports, that this threshold was reached, and hence the file "splits" in two. Then it's up to you to call and get your file whole again. Otherwise, you've got two files and just try keeping track of those!
Yemaya7
How do you know when you have a split file???
morrow
How do you know when you have a split file???Im not 100% sure, but from what Ive heard, when you have all or the majority of your accounts missing or duplicated....that seems to be an indicator.Im just going by what Ive remember others saying. I havent heard of it happening too much. Try doing a search for "split files" and see what others have to say about it, or maybe someone with more experience in that dept. can clarify.Apparently its pretty obvious if and when you have one. Sorry I couldnt be more help.
