paw67 Posted September 3, 2004 Report Share Posted September 3, 2004 Negative info can remain on your credit report for 7 years no matter what the SOL for the debt is (unless you live in NY and then I believe it can only stay on for 5 years). You can still attempt to dispute it off.Also, just because the debt is SOL doesn't mean that they cannot try to collect.
