Yes. The OC can report the account as long as they report it correctly. It should show that the account was "Charged Off" or "Assigned to Collection". The collector can report as long as they include the name of their client and the proper dates and amounts. If, by chance the account was sold to a JDB, then the OC must show a Zero Balance and the notation "Sold or Transferred". The JDB must still report as a collection account with the proper dates and amounts.
