Recovering Attorney
It may be a lawsuit, it may be aclaim. Not sure. Call the licensing dept of the state the CA lives in. If you know the name of the carrier, call them

If you know the name of the carrier, call themThis is so frustrating. I've called the licensing department in the CA's state and was told that they could not share the bond information with the public over the phone. I don't know what the hell that's all about.I have no idea who the carrier is at this stage. Other than asking the CA, how the hell am I supposed to find out? Do I really have to wait until a judgment is entered and do a debtor's exam?If the bond is required, why isn't confirming it easy? What am I doing wrong here? Recovering Attorney
You don't have a judgment?Try sending a letter to the licensing people asking for a copy of the bond on file. Tell them you are asking for it under the state freedom of Information Act. Are they required to post a bond in your state? If so, do the same to your state's licensing folks.
