tater
I have a medical collection that should have been taken care of by my insurance in 2002, but because the doctor bills separtley than the hospital this bill was missed, and I never recieved anything at home. Now I have these people at INBS Collections in Florida calling. How do I get them to stop. They wouldn't give me an account # or anything. But I did get there name and address. They wanted me to admit to the bill, so it took me about 15 minutes to get the address of the company. Can I send a DV to them without an account #. I don't want to call them back. My insurance will take care of it, but it may take a few weeks. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks!!Tater P.S. I never did admit that I owed anything. admin
Another thing I would try is to lean on the insurance company for the non-payment.
tater
I will do both. The insurance company will pay, but it takes time to process the forms. The doctor bills separtly than the hospital, and the doctor never billed my insurance, and i never recieved a bill either. Why I don't know. In the mean time I want this collection company to take a long walk off a short pier. Thanks for all your help guys and gals I really appreciate this board!! Ya'll ROCK!!tater
tater
I spoke with my insurance company again, and talked to this really nice girl and she said she would research it. She just called me back. They are taking care of the problem. They even called the collection agency and told them they have to bill the insurance. Robin said the collection agency person was really nice, which was strange. She said most of the time they are not nice even to the insurance people. But they are putting a hold on my account and I should not get any calls. moral of the story: be persistant with your insurance company. at some point hopefully you are bound to talk to a person who can help you. thanks for all your help. tater
