Attorney Fees

Recommended Posts

From what I've read...IF you have a solid case...there are attorney's that will take it on contingency, since if you win, attorney fees can be added to the settlement. You may have to shell out a couple hundred bucks up front to cover filing fees and so forth, but IF you can find a good FDCPA attorney in your area, it shouldn't cost much.

I've been told that whether or not an attorney will take the case on contingency is a good indicator of whether or not you have a winnable case.

I've also read that filing FDCPA cases in small claims is a fairly easy thing to do, if you read up on the procedures. You might be able to do it yourself.
