c m chase
We're supposed to have closed on our house today. Our underwriters are in Florida, though, and may have been evacuated. Seems like they could continue business elsewhere, but as of right now, we're stuck homeless, with no clue when we might close. I keep getting from my realtor, "we're still waiting to hear from [our closing company]."I've been waiting to see if anyone else would post this, but haven't seen it. Anyone heard of this before? How long do you thing I'll have to wait?I'm going nuts! I know there's probably no answer for this post.....I just need some reassurance. amortgageman
I have seen nothing about offices closed because of Jeanne, but there were several who shut down during the previous hurricanes. One of the lenders last week sent a bulletin about properties located in specific counties in 9 different states and the need for a new inspection, and pictures, in order to close a loan. Least you are not seeing this happen to you.
c m chase
Ya know....you're right. My house could be hit by a tornado and I wouldn't get it anyway....then I'd REALLY be homeless! Guess I should put things in perspective, huh?
