CW
received a letter from one collector restating I owe a debt. nothing about signing my letter and returning it. Guess they don't want to play. Should I send another letter or debt validate. I thought of calling the oc and stating I'd pay but needed a ltr from them. How should i proceed

DocDon
Good advice Josh.CW: you should always DV a CA, unless you're in the habit of giving away money simply because somebody asks for it. If that's the case, please send me $200.Settlement letters go to the OC (settle in lieu of recalling collection as Josh points out, and deletion of negative info). The CA has no authority to do that - only the OC does.Hope that helps.
