MeanWS6
I have 3 accounts that went to collections, I have since settled one of them and paid the other two off. Can these be removed? If so, what is the best process (letters, etc) to get them removed?
new2this
I've had pretty good luck with paid collections. Twice I disputed them about a month after paying them in full and the Collection Agency did not verify so they came off the report. One collection was for about $30 and the other about $125. I paid one before I found this site and the other because it was requested as part of my closing on a mortgage.K
MeanWS6
thanks for the reply, another info guys. What about these "nutcase" letters? Or stating "payed for delete"
retmar
Myself, I am not crazy about the "Nutcase" letters. As to offering to pay for deletion, it is the best way to handle it. Many CA's will deny this as they will claim it is illegal for them to do this. That is a very large pile of BS. The law only states they must report correct information. Either way, this is what you demand if offering to pay the debt. Make sure it is in writing and signed by an authorized person.
