flaminblonde
I have 4 cards that were charged off in 2001. This coming summer (05) they will be past the SOL for the state of Texas. My question is this....when those accounts are sold to or bought by collectors, can they list that debt on your CR by them if they are already listed by the original creditor? Also, when my 7 years passes...and the charge offs are removed...can the collector still list those on my report? Will this always be a fiscous cycle? Thanks in advance!Flame
LadynRed
when those accounts are sold to or bought by collectors, can they list that debt on your CR by them if they are already listed by the original creditor?Yes. There will be one entry from the OC and one entry from the collection agency. when my 7 years passes...and the charge offs are removed...can the collector still list those on my report? Will this always be a fiscous cycle? No, they can NOT put an obsolete back on your CR - at least not legally. Some will try to illegally re-age the debt to keep it on your reports, but this is a big violation of the FCRA and you can sue their butts for it ! flaminblonde
But can the CA list it for 7 years from the time they put it on my report? Even if the charge off drops after it original 7 years time? And if they can't...do I just report this to the CRA?
