victoriouswarrior
Hello everyone:I am new here and desperate for help !My story ; finally got the collectors to stop calling and harrassing me for A debt that : 1. I didn't owe THEM 2. Was so old that the statute of limitations had expired on it( 4 years in Texas ).Now I am attempting to have it deleted from my credit report...since its the only road block in my finacial health !Recently I have found duplicate listings on the same debt ,from two different collection agencies ( who had purchased it at that time ).And although the debt is almost 5 years old... THEY ARE RE- AGING IT !!the most recent date listed near it is march 2004 !!!i KNOW THIS IS AGAINST THE LAW... and I would really like to stick it to them !Can anyone suggest how to handle this? Letters - certfied and threatening , citing the laws and their violations of them has worked wonders for me with this agency...should i write another letter??HOW SHOULD I WORD IT , TO CONTAIN THE DEMAND TO TOTALLY ERASE THIS OLD DEBT, THAT I DO NOT OWE THEM, THAT HAS BEEN RE AGED.... AND IS AGAINST THE LAW!?PLEASE RESPOND ASAP !!! THANKS IN ADVANCE !!
anti-something
have you been using TX law? federal? both?i would be inclined to write up yor complaint on court papers and send it to em, telling them thye have 15 days to fix the problem or it will taken before the judge to decide. also, in TX they must be bonded to operate, get the bond info and send the court papers to the bonding company as well. LadynRed
What dates and on which credit reports are you basing your accusation of re-aging ??? People often use the WRONG DATE and claim re-aging when its not.
