hlc2412
I am trying to settle with Capital One on an account. The balance has more than tripled in less than a year! I sent a cease and desist to the first CA, then immediately contacted Capital One with a settlement offer.(I offered $49 less than the one I just got from the CA, but I will not settle unless the OC agrees to update all references to this account to "Paid as agreed".)Yesterday I recieved a letter from Capital One stating my offer had been forwarded for review. (Sure) Today I get a letter from another CA Capital One has assigned the debt to. (out goes another cease and desist)Has anyone been able to locate a contact at Capital One with an IQ? Seems to me 30% more than they would have got back from the first CA beats a sharp stick in the eye any day!
Josh Mcgrath
those bastards are really on my shitlist now! I think you have to be stupid and rude to work there. My story is a long one...but yes, I agree with you about the B.S. triple-ing!!! I REALLY wish I could sue them somehow! I'm going to tape all conversations with them and everything! They piss me off so bad!!!!!!!
