goingunder
Can I send a letter to my origional creditors to find out what the DOLA was? to have a record of it. I really have nothing - and all 3 CRA seems to have something different or not actually list the SOL? I'd like to keep track of this information.Would this be opening up something else? If it was sold, would they tell me that too - this way I'd know if my debt was sold or not, or just being handled by a CA for the OC?Thanks again for all your help! i'm getting there and understanding better each day. chincheck
The FCBA requires OC's to respond to account disputes that are up to 60 days after the item in question appears on a bill. The FCRA requires OC's to respond directly to consumer disputes that are on credit reports. It's one little line in the law that is often overlooked, but it applies. Some states have the same requirement.
goingunder
Some help please. I am in the processes of disputing items on my CR, but want to know FOR SURE, what the last date of activity was on my accounts from the OC. Can I send a letter to them? Any samples out there? I want to have some sort of proof, and I don't have anything anymore. All accounts went late, then charged off sometime in the summer of 2000. How do I get the correct date? Who from? All CRA have different dates, etc. on them.
