jordanmorganusa
I've had my own problems with NCO(ok, who hasn't?). Even after the FTC taking $1.5 mil from them, they are still violating left and right. I swear, it's crazy. So I propose this: we all contact the FTC every time they commit a violation. Ok, not every time, but after oh, let's see, 2-3 violations. They do it enough, and they'll get hauled in yet again. ***Just in case you don't see the upside for you, you'll get the deletion you seek as well as them getting their hat handed to them-AGAIN. I just sent them a "delete this and send me $1000 or I'm going to the FTC letter myself.***
jerseygirl
Give us the background info. What did they do?
jordanmorganusa
Hell, what DON'T they do? They don't validate, they don't report as in dispute, they reage accounts(which is what the FTC got them for), I could go on and on. NCO is notorious for FCRA and FDCPA violations. I'm in California, they messed up. Cali has the best laws protecting the consumer when it comes to debt collection, credit reporting, etc. <sigh> If they would just report/collect correctly, we wouldn't have to go through this.
