I'm detailing my reports and I have a BK related question:

Some accounts that have been discharged in my BK7 read "Petition for BK7" and others say "Included in BK" whle still others read "Discharged in BK7." Really, in my opinion, they should all read "Discharged" because they were. Is this s letter campaign I should waste time on? I will if it will help me seal off these debts for good and improve my score.

Thanks in advance

JT

Are these different notations from different CRA's or on different TL's on the same CRA? If they are different TL's on one CRA, then there should be some consistency and you could dispute on that basis.

Different CRA's have different ways of indicating BK. As long as the account is notated properly, (IMO) what does it really matter? [side note as to "proper notation". The TL should show limited info, nothing owing, nothing past due, no late dates, no status, nothing in the 30/60/90-day counters that might trigger a deduction in your score. Only the bankruptcy statement (whatever form IMO)] To me, this is what is important about BK notations. Athough, there are people who post on the board, which insist on strict adherence to the FCRA that every stinking thing be totally and exactly correct. More power to them. Myself, I like a few flaws here and there, as long as they fall in my favor... :D
