Is it possible to raise your score by getting a pre-paid credit card or secured card and direct-depositing your payroll in this account ???

(the goal here is to show the apperance that you have a high credit limit which may encourage other legitimate credit card companies to offer you unsecured credit)

reply's please ??

Your score is one factor that CC comp's look at. They also look at income, and whatever else hides in that super FICO computer.

It couldn't hurt to do this. I have never heard of it. What card is it? What would make up your Credit limit, the first deposit amt? Would it be turned into an unsecured after an amount of time? And lastly: If you are like most of us, you need your paycheck for rent etc. You will essentially be paying back a payday loan for your own money with interest charges every month. Why not just do a secured card where you pay the security deposit by normal means, I don't see why the DD is beneficial to you. Good luck and please answer the questions so I can learn more.

Thanks

JT

The Eufora Prepaid is the choice i was thinking of. however there are fees associated with maintaining the card..i may reconsider and just pay down exisiting cards which obviouly would raise my score..but looking to get my score higher faster..
