krisb74
We disputed about 10 items on my husbands CR with EX online on Sep 29. We got an email stating the report was ready so logged on to check it, only 1/2 were noted as changed, the others were still pending. So I logged into EX to check the status today, and the date at the top of the page, which read report due Oct 28 as of yesterday, today reads Nov 14...now, he did find one more that he wanted to dispute, after we had sent the others in, so he mailed this one..but does that put ALL of the others back as well? The original disputes should have the original 30 day period? Or did we screw ourselves by doing that? Thanks...
retmar
Yes, you goofed! Always wait until you receive the results from your current disputes before filing the next round.
krisb74
even the ones that were disputed originally get moved back? or is there a chance those will be done within the original time?
Ravenous Wolf
even the ones that were disputed originally get moved back? or is there a chance those will be done within the original time?It is possible but unlikely. It is best to lay off until EVERY investigation is complete. Yeah, it is nerve wracking. However, you can call each CRA and ask if each investigation has been completed. I do that EVERY month and the customer service reps tell me the exact date for the final investigation and even when the final updated credit report has been mailed off to me.And often times, customer service reps of CRAs will even tell me on the phone NOT to dispute something right now until the last investigation is complete because that will delay all the other investigations and reset the clock.
