BudCle
Just wondering if anyone has applied or used the Circuit City credit card. I am thinking about getting a new laptop and would really like to utilize the 12 Months no interest. Just seeing if it is easy or hard to get and also who they pull.... Thanks,
Xanathos
If you can get a Circuit City card, you can get approved for a line of credit through Dell and POSSIBLY Alienware. If you absolutely must buy a mass marketed piece of crap type laptop, I'd go with them before anything Circuit City offers.
BudCle
Thanks for the info, but why would I spend twice the amount of money for a computer that I only need to get about a year out of. If you read in my post I WANT TO UTILIZE THE 12 MONTH SAME AS CASH option. I could just pay for it but why? Use someone else's money and pay it off at the end.. Anyways do you know what it takes for a Circuit City Card??? Thanks
Guest jeeptravel
Not BK Friendly (probably not a concern for you)Likes "in store" applicants (The reps at Circuit Sh**ty can call to explain you have a pulse when you apply in-store)If you are in the low 600's and not maxed out (and no BK) you should be a shoe in.I concur with Xanthanos that a DELL card would be better, You'll get more for your money. Nowadays Memory is the deal . . . you can have a computer that runs much faster and has a larger harddrive for less at Dell.Nonetheless, Circuit has a few good ones. That, and the DVD/CD-RW burner option You''l need to spend over 1,500 for sure to get the Circuit City low end model (as I have noticed in my shopping lately.) Dell would be a lot better value. I think that's what X was trying to say. Anyhow, hope that all helps.JT

Dell would be a lot better value. I think that's what X was trying to say. That's exactly what I meant. Retail markup is insane, and most of what Circuit City offers (Sony Vaios, Toshibas, etc.) aren't very durable. Also, I just did a Dell app because I wanted some of their peripheraries (a new printer/scanner/copier, a digicam, and a monitor), and they have a no interest until April thing they have going I took advantage of that I didn't see on the site, got offered to me after I finished the app...and judging from the verification questions they asked me, they pulled Experian, apparently. Ravenous Wolf
Circuit City is now serviced by Bank One so I don't know how much more different they are than FNANB.I am going to ask for a credit limit increase this week.

edubb007
I applied last summer and I was at 630 with EQ and was declined. They had said that id you had no lates in a year or more than you'd be good to go but I was declined in store! YIKES! That was last Summer though and Best buy later! BudCle
I went and appied online because that was the best deal at the time. I got the same response as dolphin. They actually called me the day I did it which was a sunday but my phone was in the car. I couldn't understand what the guy said the number was to call him back so now I guess I will just wait. I will let you know what happens. My scores are close to the 690 mark so who knows.
