Kathy Y
I paid a CA that sent me a letter saying they would report "Satisfied in Full" and it is showing up as Paid-was charge off. That doesn't seem to be the same thing to me! (This was 2/03 before I found this site) So I call the OC today (just got a report) and they say they won't report that way.Fine, I say, did you sell this to them? No, they hired them to collect. Doesn't this mean OC is responsible for a deal that the CA makes? I have left a vm for a supervisor, but if that doesn't get me anywhere, who do I go after OC or CA? And will it work? Thanks

And will it work?ThanksFirst of all, the CA did exactly what they said that they would.Satisfied in full MEANS --> Paid-was charge off.Yep, you satisfied them all right. You bent over for them.Often times, the smooth talkers of debt collectors will give you a false impression that this will solve all of your problems. There is not really anyone to complain to about this because they did exactly what they said they would do.Now you know that you did bend over for this. You have two options. First, you can go to the Debt Validation forum and browse through the posts and threads. There are plenty of people who have gotten their paid collection accounts removed from their credit reports (like myself).Or you can go through the credit repair process. I wouldn't really suggest that because since this just happened, the CA has all the documents to prove this.DV is much better at getting them to provide documentation to you instead of you trying to prove something to the CRAs.
