rodeomom
CHODI understand this to be when you send letters to CRA's at holidays, hoping they cant get them all verified.I have probably about 30 entries on my CR that I think need sent. Several accts. are with OC and CA on report. Does this mean I send a letter to CRA for OC entry and also one for CA entry? Will I be labeled frivilous if I send these all at once?Is it correct they should all be sent in separate CMRRR envelopes to the indivual CRA's?Should I do all CRA's at same time or do all of one, then proceed to next CRA, and so on?I understand I start with disputing as "not mine" on all of them, is this correct.Thank you, rodeomom
bluealex915
HELLO,My personal preference is to never send more then four disputes in any one letter and let me tell you why. If you end up having to take it to court and go before the judge it miight look kinda funny to him if you disputed yout whole credit report at once. What I did in my case is I sent multipule letters but all within a few days of one another. I also send them certified so that I could track each letter and not get them all mixed up, considering the time frame that the CRA has to respond to you. From my experience if you send a letter with 20 or 30 disputes on it you will probibly get the classic friviolous letter but who knows. I think it is just safer and smarter to stagger your disputes in seperate letters. Now with CHOD approaching you should start sending out your letters around the 27th of November, at least that is when I am going to do it. I also have several disputes that I will be sending out with the technique that I explained to you. Anyway, there is my two cents worth. Get some more responses from some other members and then decide for yourself on your best plan of action. One last thing , since it sounds like you have alot more disputes to send out you might want to bump it up to five a letter and also maybe start a few days sooner then normally for CHOD.Good Luck........................................................... morrow
While bluealex has a valid reason for disputing that way, others including myself have always just disputed all at once with no problems. Reason being, it could get very expensive and could take a very long time if you were to just dispute a few items at a time. AND...even if your disputes ended up in court, a judge may think that you had some serious faulty reporting by the CRAs to be disputing so many items at once!Just my opinion.
