Dylan
I don't really have a leg to stand on because I have some lates that were my fault. But I sure would like to raise my score. If I do dispute them, how should I phrase it?
morrow
Well, you can try either send a "Good Will" letter to the original creditor, basically saying, "Yeah, I know I messed up...was going through a hard time...could you purdy please remove the lates?" and hope that they do.Or you can take your chances by disputing your lates with the credit bureaus, and hope that they dont remove the entire account all together. Ive actually had that happen once. If you do decide to dispute it, just state that youve never paid late on the account. Thats all they need to know. I would try the GW letter first though. Good luck!
