zerwas
Which section states that the creditor has to list the credit limit for the account that they are reporting? I have looked through the FCRA but do not seem to be able to find the section.
edubb007
I don't believe there is an actual section on that! I have a Kays jewler card which reports correctly to only one of the three CRA's and ticks me off every time I think about it! I want to cancel it if I can get another with a high limit for my report! If I axe that one than I might lose FICO ground due to utilization....Boy did I stumble off topic!Anyhoot!I don'y believe there is a specific rule regarding limit reporting! zerwas
Thats funny because it's a K Jewelers account I was posting this about. I dont want to charge it up and pay it off only to have the high balance count as my credit limit. I dont need or want $7000 worth of jewlery. I wonder if I charged one item during they reporting period and returned it during the return period. Do you think this would possibly show on my report? Has anyone tried this yet for a similar situation??
edubb007
To be truthful.. You can definitely do that! But let's face it... That's allot of work when you can apply for a card and just get a 3000 CL and it's better than paying 300 for some crummy jewlery!
