humdinger
I'm looking for any recent information concerning the tactics of MBNA or Bofa and what they post to your CR after a BK.Has anyone been able to get these companies to report true and accurate information?I thought I had read that there was some sort of class action suit concerning this issue. Does anyone know who to contact to become involved in this suit?thanksjulie

Bluebyu
I could not get BofA to report IIB with a 0 balance....I sent some complaint letters to them and the BBB....No luck...I had to send BK paper to CRA for it to get changed....I didn't want to send them the discharge paper but I felt I had no choice..... badcreditsucks
MBNA gave me the run around, saying that they could not remove the listing, blah blah blah. Anyway, when I called the CA, I asked them to send me something in writing. Today I got a letter from them stating that they were sold the debt (which they are not trying to collect) and that they do not report information to the credit bureaus and it had my BK filing date and case number on this letter as well. I am going to send copies of this letter to the CRAs to see if this provides proof that MBNA is reporting incorrectly.
mzjazzyazz
I had a problem with mbna reporting incorrectly, so I did the absolute no no and called them. Ive learned if you are pleasant on the phone, it gets you a lot further than citing violations and getting angry .lol. He changed it in his computer and I will just redispute it. He told me the debt was charged off before the bk. but he did it anyway.
