chibuya
A listing on CR by original creditor. Only the last four numbers of of the original account number are listed correct? If that is correct, then two listings from Cap 1, both have been paid have different last four numbers on the CR than the original account number.I am about to send out a request to correct one listing, because it was settled, but it is showing as charged off. I'm not sure if this will be a problem when I send my supporting documentation due to the conflicting numbers.
Ravenous Wolf
Something to think about.Correcting a charged off account to a "settled" account is still bad.Prime lenders will see that as a red flag and not consider you for their best rates or may not even consider you at all.If possible, you ought to consider trying to get that removed from your credit report especially if it is incorrectly listed. chibuya
Well actually one CRA on the acct status has it listed as closed and at the bottom of the listing chared off. The other CRA has it listed as open and at the bottom reads charged off.My problem is I still have agencies trying to collect on the debt. Pulling iquiries sending me letter etc. The law office that I settled with who had produced court papers will not send me a paid in full letter. The current collection agency won't taking anything but a letter from them...So I want to show it as paid on my CRA's to get them off my back, but my originally question was the last 4 numbers listed on the account number of the CRA are different than the original acct number.
