wunderwoman
How long should I wait before disputing new items with the CRA. I recently had items cleared from a dispute letter. Can I dispute new items right away or should I wait? If I wait, how long before sending the new dispute letter?
morrow
Wait until your first dispute is complete and you have your results in hand. Otherwise, they may extend the investigation period and your screwed. If its over 35 days and you still havent received results, by all means...send them a letter with copies of your original dispute and tell them that they are in violation and demand deletion. wunderwoman
My first dispute is complete, they sent me the updated credit report which shows the items that were disputed deleted. Can I send a new dispute letter immediately? Today? Thanks Morrow so much for responding!
Ravenous Wolf
Once all of your investigations are complete, you can start your next round of disputes. Some people prefer to wait for a month or two but I typically begin right away. And if you are unsure about the status of your investigations, get on the horn and call them. The reps will tell you right away the status and if they have already put them in the mail.By the way, CHOD is about to start so I would hold off in sending off your next round of disputes for a about two weeks or so. You may as well take advantage of CHOD since it is so close to start.
retmar
I always sent new ones as soon as I received the latest update and was able to compose a new letter or call, which ever I decided to do. It usually depended on what I was disputing as to calling or writing.Do as advised and get your letters ready, but, don't mail them until you know they will reach the CRA's, by the latest, the day after T-Day.
