Felicia
I recently received my update credit report. Everything was investigated but one Item. When I contact the Credit Agency. They indicated to me that I did not request and investigation of that account per there records. I have a letter that was sent certified and the sign for it. I informed then that I have documents indicating that I did request and investigation. Now that the 30 days has past what are you guys going to do about it. The response was we can request and investigation today and we have 30 days from today date to respond. I did not accept that. I told them that you fail to properly complete the investigation so I am requesting that the info be deleted per FCRA Section 611 Part (A)(1). I was informed that that will not happen because they never investigate the account and they would have to do an investigation first. What are my right? Why and I having to pay for their error? What should I do?
gprncss
Stand your ground!! I hardly ever talk with the CRAs especially about disputes. I let my words do the talking. I'll send them the you have failed to respond to this investigation per FCRA .... lettermake sure you include a copy of the first letter and the green card. Demand immediate deletion!CC your state attorney, theirs, and the FTC in your letter. Heck file a complaint with the FTC and their state Attorney as well!!!
