dragon6473
I think I have pretty good score and I have 2 cards now - Chevron -400 limit and a Plains Commerce Bank with 500 limit-helped rebuild my credit. I recently got a damn collection inquiry by a CA last month which is not right as I don't have collection account on all my reports. Because of the collection inquiry I'm afraid I could get rejected due to that. I really want to get another CC so I could transfer my high interest personal loan to it.EQ-711EX-711TU-
DocDon
You won't get denied because of the inquiry. The only way you would get denied is for having "too many recent inquiries", but not because a CA looked at your report. If this is not valid, it is non-permissible purpose. I would get a letter off to that CA.
dragon6473
HiAlready sent letter to CA CMRRR, CA should receive it today or tomorrow. Will wait and see, give them more ropes to hang themselves. I do not know if I qualify for Amex blue, with my score, they have fantastic balance transfer fixed for 3.99% till paid off! DocDon
Great!Do a search on Amex Blue. I've never dealt with them. Others have the card and have posted their scores, who they pulled from, etc....
dragon6473
how many inquiries are considered too many anyway? Do the CC company uses the 6 months or 1 year? Thanks.

gprncss
How much is too much, according to the "experts" 6 or more within 6 months is considered too many. I think. The trick is to apply for them all at once that way when they look at your CR, they won't see that many inquiries. Your score will take a nose dive but will bounce up in no time, especially when U get aprooved for them!
dragon6473
Thanks. Well, I need to work on getting my credit utilization lower before I apply for a CC. I had been rejected before so I don't want it to happen again. I don't get many pre-approval letters, get invitation letters from Chase for 0% for 14 months and 7.99% after that. Does anyone know which CBA does Chase pull in WA?
edubb007
CHASE BANK looks like they pull EX in WA.You might also want to look into CAP 1 Platinum 0%.. They have been approving allot. I also hear about this Patelco the credit union who loves to give everyuone tons of money!I don't get it but they seem to approve people that are lower than your scores.Good Luck!Edubb
dragon6473
Thanks for checking. Once my score is higher, I'll definitely go for it.
edubb007
I believe your score is high but if you have any C/O's you're baked! They turned me down because of a 5 year old C/O I paid in full! Good luck!
dragon6473
I don't have any collection accounts or charge offs on all my 3 credit reports anymore, the last one dropped off this month on EQ. Collection accounts can really ding your score, I have been monitoring it and since the Collection account dropped, my score raised another 35 points. I am on my way to rebuilding good credit and will definitely maintain my good credit rating from now onwards. On PBS.org Fair Isaacs said the median score in 720, a person who has a score of 700 is considered good.I watched the show last night on Frontline, interesting. dragon6473
thank you. I got an invitation letter for a Discover Platinum for 0% on balance transfer and purchase at 8.99%. It's a good deal and I might go for it after I applied for my mortgage loan. We are planning to see a couple of lenders this coming week and I think I'm going to give Chase, CitiMortgage or Wachovia for a chance 1st so I can get my miles on my airline! Wachovia has a 100% 0 down for 30 years fixed without PMI for 6.5% if you make less than 45k, in my county by the way. So don't think big bank cannot give you a good deal. I cannot do it because the payment is too high but I can do Chase for 80/20. Citimortgage has an excellent HELOC for 7% fixed for life of loan while the rest have adjustable HELOC with cap of 18%.So, has anyone used the Discover card on the 0% for life of balance transfer to transfer their equity loan??
