hlc2412
I have been made a settlement offer that is acceptable. I asked how it would be reported? They replied it would go to all 3 CRA's reported "paid in full". When I told them that I also wanted the original creditor to report this the same I was informed that they had purchased the debt and that I would have to work with them in resolving there information. I did recieve a fax from the CA that explicitly states it would be updated to reflect "Paid in Full". The big question is: Will the collection being reported paid in full help my credit profile. or should I in return accept only removal of the record? DocDon
A "paid in full" collection is just as bad as an unpaid collection - that's why they were so willing to make such an agreement - it's what they do anyway. You want deletion of the collection for payment. Period.
