Mr. White Posted November 28, 2004 Report Posted November 28, 2004 ARS is the company acronym, which is what was given to me when i called them back. then after i called a second time i got a person telling me the name of the company was AMERICAN RECOVERY...but nothing for the 'S'. i tried to find out what it was, but was hung up on. the phone number for the company is the following:800-638-4714i did a search for this number using certain 'toll-free directories' and i couldn't find anything, i don't know what state, city, zip, all i have is the above info. i would appreciate it if anyone can contribute they're knowledge about this company and/or phone number. thanks in advanceMr. White

If you're looking for an address to send a DV and you don't have a letter from them, look for their entry on your CR. If they're not on your CR yet, wait for them to call again...when they do, start the conversation with "I'm recording this call...my I have your name and address please". Do that every time. If they don't give it to you, hang up. (You don't actually have to be recording, but you could). If they do give it do you, write it down...then say "I'll be sending you a letter requesting validation of this debt" and then hang up.
