blackgossamer
I got this letter from a few days ago. Not much out there about Bryan Levy's office but lots on CACV. I'm going to DV and C&D. These guys have called my mother and Aunt I don't know what they've said yet and I guess they just called everyone with my last name because I don't have their info on anything. They've only attempted to call me once and I was not home. But it sounds as if they are rather hard to deal with. This was all I could find on Levy there was much more on CACV.Some collection agency law firms will not cease collection activities even if they cannot validate and CACV and the Brian Levy Law firm of Pheonix AZ is one such example. Those of you dealing with CACV =, Collect America Collection Vehicle aka the Brian Levy law firm in Phoenix, be aware that if you request a validation you will get another round of harrassing calls and messages from another law firm which happens to be at the same address and phone number! This firm loves to call cell phones, read out people's social security numbers on answering machines, and call more than once per day by using additional phone lines, cell phones, etc. Violations are hard to prove and collect on and few people bother to take action and collectors thrive. I was a little thrown off by the letter having a creditor and an OC but these guys collecting and me never getting anything from CACV. Also the 1 and 2 in this letter seems like that is all they will offer from my DV. I'm assuming this is for an MBNA account allthough I've never seen it listed as Maryland National.I was just wondering if anyone has dealt with these guys and/or has an input on how I should handle this based on how they normally process DV's.Thanks,MiMiCreditor: CACV of ColoradoOC: Maryland National Bank Acct: ########Total Due: 2,726.05This office has been retianed to collect the debt owed by you in the above-refrenced matter. blackgossamer
I just wanted to update on this. This firm has not responded to my DV. However I am now getting calls from LTD financial they have not yet sent me any type of letter. I sent them a DV stating that I don't know who they or what they want. The weird thing is is that I know this is from MBNA and I still have MBNA calling me. I don't answer but I know from my caller ID. This account was charged-off in November. Is it possible that MBNA still owns the account even though other companies are trying to collect. That first letter from Bryan Levy said it was now owned by CACV.
