miracle
I just paid $6.19 for each letter... did prices go up? I am thinking they either went up or I was getting a break on the price before... just curious..
breathing_easier
Earlier this year it was $4.55 for CMRRR, now it's $4.65. Did you have an especially large/heavy envelope?
miracle
no.. i think, before a friend was giving me a discount and I didn't know about it because I mail them from a MBE type place... so i think I will just be hauling my buns to the post office from now on. Thank you for the response!

wunderwoman
I always end up paying $5-7 dollars here in New York. My packages are generally several pages because I'm an ID theft victim and have to send a lot of reports etc.
breathing_easier
For a standard envelope, though, the price should not vary from state to state (just as the cost of postage stamps doesn't vary). So it has to have something to do with the size/weight of your envelopes. A CMRRR for a standard envelope should cost you $4.65.

c m chase
I just got back from the post office, actually.Standard-size envelope, with 3 peices of paper inside, certified, return receipt: $4.42. It was only going to Oklahoma City from Tulsa (approx 150 miles)..maybe that's why it was cheaper?

breathing_easier
I think I pay $4.65 because I use the larger business envelope that you can purchase at the p.o.

Yes I did! Which ticks me off because the lady that owns the place is one of my clients and our neighbors in the strip mall and I send so much mail out of there ... So.. it is the post office for me!
