I disputed 2 accounts on November 2, 2004 with Equifax. On November 29, 2004 I called Equifax to see what the status of those tradelines were. The lady was so nice to me; she asked me if I would like them deleted. I said "SURE." She said she deleted both accounts.

Today, I called Equifax to inquire about the 2 accounts. The lady told me that they were disputed on NOVEMBER 29, 2004. I was so angry that I was able to get a supervisor on the phone. I told the supervisor that Equifax had right to dispute an account that was still under dispute. The supervisor told me that she had no way of knowing if in fact the account was already under dispute, blah blah blah. I told the supervisor that I would sue and I hung up.

Now, the 30-day starts all over again. I suggest that nobody call the CRA's via phone. Make sure all correspondence is via CMRRR.

They re-started the investigation thus tacking more days to it. I started the investigation on November 2, 2004. I called to get the "status" on the investigations on November 29, 2004. They restarted the investigation with the investigation date of NOVEMBER 29, 2004. Now, I have to wait another 30 days before I get any results.

Yes, I understand that part. You stated the rep said she deleted them. I was wondering if you saw the tradelines deleted, then reinserted for the new investigation.

No, the rep SAID that she would delete them. She also said that she would send a Christmas card in the mail. I think she tricked me. She asked if I would like the accounts deleted. I told her to go ahead and delete them and she opened another investigation while the prior investigation was still pending.

LOL. I know you are. I wasn't pointing a finger at you.

Well, given it was so late in the month, the OC probably got the dispute and either didn't respond, or already the results. That info I would assume is there. The second investigation doesn't mean the OC hasn't already responded....

I would write them and have them investigate the situation, not the tradeline.

Always write a letter and send it certified, that has been my experience and it has always served me well. If you have a hard copy of something it is not longer he said she said, it is a fact and you will have the proof right there in your hand. Don't worry, it happened to me too when I was starting out. Learn from it and nail thier butts to the wall down the road once you have gained more knowlege.

Now go and get em!!!!

Good luck..............
