monomoy7 Posted December 6, 2004 Report Posted December 6, 2004 I have a judgement that I have to go to a debtor exam for (MA). Is it only in a room with a court reporter or with a judge. They never did any thing to collect judgement until this. I know they will ask ? about wages and any money or assets. I have none. But I am married, but with no joint accounts or property.. I know they cant seize her money. My main ? is can I object to some ?. Where she works and banks etc as irrelevent. Also I'm a hair from bankruptcy anyway. Shoud I try to file befor exam or wait to see how it goes first.
Recovering Attorney Posted December 6, 2004 Report Posted December 6, 2004 the exam will be before the JC's lawyer and a stenographer. If they start asking about your wife's finances, you can object. If they say you can't object to the questions, tell them they will have to call the ex parte judge and let him make a ruling. That ought to keep em quiet.
