Can I still DV a creditor even if they have sued me?

Recommended Posts

:?: I was served with a citation, by our local sheriff, from Citibank saying that I was being sued. This was back in June of this year, and I responded saying that I was enrolled in a debt elimination program. i have not heard anything back from them since..... I am now trying to determine if I can still DV the CA (attorney), before I try and negotiate a settlement with them? Does anyone have any advice or similar incidents?

thanks!

titled something like I survived it or something along those lines.

I do believe they do not have to stop attempting to collect since you are past 30 days and DV'ing, they still have to prove DV or cant' collect is my understanding.
