Guest Posted December 6, 2004 Report Posted December 6, 2004 Well... remember back in 2002 when a certain Cal Invest LLC (name shortened for reasons) were pulling my credit report.. I assumed it was for my ex hubbies repo that they are illegally trying to collect on.Remember that I got a default judgment.. then settledGuess what they did in November??Yeah.. you guessed it... pulled my CR again!!Sue time again???Me thinks so!!what do you guys think?!?
LuuCkyJaa Posted December 7, 2004 Report Posted December 7, 2004 I just found out that Cavalry have pulled my TU report five times in the past year. As far as I know, they have not attempted to contact me.They own??? a debt that was charged-off by Direct Merchants Bank. Don't know where this is going.Kind regards,James from Brooklyn
admin Posted December 7, 2004 Report Posted December 7, 2004 Sky, sue away! You have plenty of grounds!
Guest Posted December 7, 2004 Report Posted December 7, 2004 Well it doesnt look like I will be suing this time. It appears that my lawyer wants to handle this one.Now our only catch is if I signed a release that keeps me from ever doing anything to them again.Back when I sued these guys before I didnt know they could put a clause in there saying I could never sue them again for something totally different or for comitting the same act again.I will have to look into my release and see what it says.... the lawyer thinks we might even be able to get around it even if I did.He is real interested in taking this one too.Oh yeah.. and he settled another case for us with a mortgage company. We are going to get around 1500 after they get their chunk of change.. I know its not much but hey... its FREE cash!!!Thanks to everyone on this site... if I hadn't come here I never would have learned all the cool things I have.
miracle Posted December 7, 2004 Report Posted December 7, 2004 Wow! I hope you can get them!! Please let us know what happens. Free money is always good!
