In the Dark
Hi -I have won an Arbitration Award against Discover, but Discover refuses to acknowledge the award. However, they have since charged-off the account which now shows on my credit reports. My Question: Can I send the Arbitration Award document to the CRA's to have the negative report deleted? Thanks SO much for your help - you guys are GREAT!
VParadis
I don't mean to hijack this thread, but I've read on several different forums about people winning arbitration awards against CA's or OC's and the CA or OC refuses to "acknowledge" the award. Does this mean that if they win an arbitration award against you that you can also refuse to acknowledge it?
DocPC
You need to convert that arbitration award into a judgement before you go any further.
In the Dark
Hi DocPC,Thanks for your response. Can you tell me what I need to do to file for a judgment? - or do I need to get an attorney to do that for me? Thanks again!sl

DocPC
I think you may need a lawyer to help you. I think the procedure is different in different states/counties.
