mzjazzyazz
I am in rush to get these accounts taken care of, do you think faxing over a settlement would work?
workinninetofive
I wouldn't recommend it..... I would be patient and do it the slow way with a paper trail.
mzjazzyazz
I have no time to wait for the slow route. Why wouldnt a returned fax be a paper trail?
Recovering Attorney
you can fax, if you have a name. What you want is a fax back from them that shows you have an agreement. You would need that should they decide to renege.
mzjazzyazz
Yes, I do have the name of the collections manager of the company. I think I will give it a try. I just called and asked them for their fax number and they just gave it out without hesitation. Its not like I was gonna identify myself anyway. workinninetofive
I guess I'm just anal about all the reciepts & proof of delivery. I'd rather take the slower route (and have all documentation) if they renege. Say that they do renege.. and you have to take them to court. Will a fax hold up? Or are you at step 1 again? But, if Recovering thinks a fax is fine... go for it.
Recovering Attorney
It should hold up if it is on their letterhead, or someone from the agency signs it, and you act on it.
